Fingering:
F#
Thumb hole covered, holes 1 2 3 5 6 covered Thumb hole covered, holes 1 2 3 5 6 7 covered
How to play it
- F# (F sharp) is a "forked" fingering: there's an open hole (4) between covered ones.
- From G, put down your right middle and ring fingers while your right pointer finger stays up.
Why it squeaks or sounds wrong
- If you hear low E, your right pointer finger is covering hole 4: lift it.
- If it sounds out of tune, check that holes 5 and 6 are fully sealed.
Free, in your browser: it listens as you play and shows which finger to fix.
