⭐ This half-hole note isn't in the free Recorder Hero lessons: it's in the premium lesson Half-holes & sharps. See the song pack ›
Thumb hole covered, holes 1 2 3 4 5 covered, half of hole 6 covered (one of its two small holes)
How to play it
- Low E♭ (E flat, the same as D sharp) is low D with half of hole 6 open: hole 6 is a pair of small holes, and your ring finger covers only one.
- Blow very gently, as for low D.
Why it squeaks or sounds wrong
- If you hear low D, both small holes of hole 6 are covered.
- If you hear low E, hole 6 is fully open.
Free, in your browser: it listens as you play and shows which finger to fix.
